Ethan's Baptism

We made the 11 hour trip up to Canada so that we could visit family and have Ethan baptized out at the Wolff family cabin in a little creek. He was pretty excited but I think more so to see his cousins and grandparents. That is one disadvantage of living in Idaho but I guess 11 hours isn't so bad. Ethan was baptized on Sunday, July 4th and oooooeeeeee was it cold! He was quite the trooper stepping out into the freezing water, I think I would have chickened out. It sure was a special moment--one that warms my heart just thinking about it. The support of family was truly amazing and Ethan and his tender heart were a joy to watch! I love my boy.

Wow! I cannot believe that Ethan is old enough to be baptized. What a special experience, in a creek with lots of family nearby. What else have you been up to? :)

How on earth is Ethan 8 already?!? That's crazy. Our girls will be right around the corner. Congratulations! I'm sure this feels like such a huge moment as a mom - your oldest getting baptized. I'm absolutely amazed he got baptized in the creek. I loved my warm, warm baptism. :)

Hello to the Wolff's and to All

I have long thought about putting up a family blog. I think it would be a great idea and ideal way to keep in touch.

You guys look like you have a lot of fun putting all this stuff together.

What a fun family tradition (except for the cold water and long drive). I can't believe how grown up Ethan is!

Wow, 8! What a milestone. I think the "first" with your first baby are always more emotional than with others. I bawled on Christopher's first day of school and I'm sure I will at his baptism too. Ethan is turning into quite the handsome man.

Congratulations Ethan! It was a Super Fantastic day - You were such a trooper getting in that FREEZING water! I love the picture of you and your dad in your baptism clothes on the "four-quad" (that's what Ethan calls it)!
